Different types of classes are available – something for everyone!  All classes are approximately an hour in length.

1 on 1

One on One classes are private classes. All newcomers to Pilates must attend a minimum of 8 – 10 classes before considering joining group classes. This ensures a solid grounding in the basic methods of Pilates and eliminates the possibility of injury during moments of limited supervision during the practice of Pilates in group situations. This is also the most expensive option per person per hour.

Semi-private or group classes

Duets, Trios & Quartets: Offers the individual the option of practicing Pilates in a group situation while still working with equipment at a more affordable rate per person per hour.

Mat classes

5 – 12 people. Mat or floor work only - the most affordable option, but also the most strenuous of work. Only well schooled individuals are advised to attend. Those with case specific needs should discuss this option with the instructor first.

How often should one attend classes?

The answer to this question is relative to one’s goals, but there are a couple of guide lines:

  • If your goals are purely to strengthen and tone and already great physique, one session per week is sufficient provided it is an addition to other activity.

  • If you are trying to reduce size in addition to toning, a minimum of two sessions per week in addition to other activity is suggested.

  • If you are suffering from back pain or worse (rehabilitating from an injury), a minimum of three sessions per week is suggested until such time as normality is established to the injured area.
